At the beginning of spring and early summer I thought that the print of the season(s) was going to be lemons. Kate Spade unveiled her perfectly citrus line of adorable lemon everything, Anne Taylor had lemon print dresses, everything was lemons. Then out of a dark corner came pineapple and took the competition by storm. Now everything is pineapple and I am totally fine with it, I’ve just been surprised at the sudden obsession that is everywhere from Target to Nordstrom. So if you can’t beat them, join them. Andddd so now you see me wearing the infamous Target pineapple shirt that every blogger in America owns.

My hesitation in posting any outfit in this top is that I see it nearly every day on some other blogger and it always looks better on them. Yellow is not my color, the top wrinkles weirdly and I don’t know why I just haven’t been able to be very imaginative with it. So my contribution to the pineapple trend is that I am wearing it once and then probably never wearing it again. I’ll stick to eating pineapples and not wearing them.

I love the outfit you have on and kinda wonder what the top would look like with a mostly blue with white stripe skirt? The top goes darling with your jeans, maybe white pants or shorts? Or do you have green shorts, or green striped shorts? I think it's pretty versatile, think of the pineapples as polka dots. I love those shoes too dear <3 Keep up the great work!!

I have the tank version of this top- less wrinkles and a better fit as well as more useful in St. Louis heat- and have worn it with seersucker shorts, green shorts, jeans, and want to try it with coral next.

I wish I had gotten that top, but you are right! I have the similar seahorse one from last year and it is a tad boxy and wrinkles like crazy. Here's to hoping there is another cute pineapple top I can find! I seriously love those shoes by the way!

Well, I for one, love the pineapples. Which actually started last year… I picked up that singular pineapple shirt at J.Crew and then they came out with the mini one… and then kohls copied them, and then my boyfriend surprised me with it yesterday because I don't seem to shut up about pineapples printed on things.
So I love the pineapple button down, AND the ring. But I'd totally be down for a lemon print too.

To be honest, I generally think fruit prints look darling on little kiddos but kind of weird on grown ups (same with animals on clothing…). Despite this, though, your outfit with the ubiquitous pineapple print shirt is hands down my favorite that I've seen. You didn't try too hard to make it look too cutesy or overly styled – you let the pineapple shirt speak for itself! 🙂

Love it! I hope the trend continues for our southern hemisphere summer. So far the pineapple invasion has only started in homewares here. Yellow isn't my colour either but I love a fun print and would give this one a go. I think the first comment had lots of great suggestions for ways to get more wear from this sweet summer shirt. I think a bit of pattern mixing is called for, definitely.
