The only issue with online shopping is that you can’t really be nosy and see what other people are buying. Let’s be honest, that is half the fun of grocery shopping or really shopping in general. Recently I’ve learned that you guys love seeing what is in my cart, but especially what’s in my Amazon cart. To be honest, there’s really been a huge shift in my life to Amazon. I travel too much for work to really be able to know when I’m going to go to the store so Amazon has been a HUGE lifesaver to me. I can ship to work, home or the office I’m going to be in and never run out of anything.
It wasn’t until this year I thought about checking the Amazon beauty section. I fee like I kind of had more disposable income before I went all-in on my skincare obsession. Plus, I realized that a LOT of what I was buying from sites like Glossier, etc (which I DO love, but dang, those prices sometimes) could be purchased on amazon if I read the ingredient lists and found similar items. To me, it’s worth it to do a little research and save a lot of money.
My Favorite Amazon Beauty Purchases
I could go on and on, but I’m going to highlight some of my items that are pictured. Those that I don’t have information on I link to and you can always shoot me an email to find out more.
Black Pearl and Gold Eye Patches – 60 count
Okay, this where the different between American beauty and Korean beauty start to show. I’ve had these Peter Thomas Roth Water eye patches on my list for a while. THEY ARE $50+! Yes, they are great, but I’ve had the exact same results from these $10 patches . Let me break this down for you, for $1 a day I could do eye patches vs if I bought the Peter Thomas Roth ones they would cost almost triple that!
I also use these when traveling! I love the case they come in and they fit perfectly into my purse for when I’m on the plane.
Dr. Jart Red-Corrector AKA Dr. Jart Green Cure Solution Recover Cream
Once again, the difference in pricing between Korean and American beauty shines through here. They are literally the exact same thing. Except that one is $31 (Korean) vs $51 (American) FOR THE SAME THING! They are called different things and even say not to compare them, but every beauty blog I’ve read has acknowledged that they are basically only different in name.
Okay, I know this one sounds a little crazy, but this $10 solution is one of the most incredible purchases you can make for your skin. Not only is it full of amazing vitamins for your skin, but it is brightening and whitening. Even if I haven’t done any of my 10-step Korean skincare regime, I can apply it and my skin looks great!
For those of you who are huge glossier serum fans, this can easily replace the $30 brightening serum if you are into that sort of thing. That’s a $20 savings!
Dr. Jart to save the day again! These are SUPER expensive when you buy them in Sephora. Like $5 each. You can get a pack of 5 of these for $13 on Amazon! I use the deep hydration one on the weekend and brightening during the week. Seriously you guys do NOT buy sheet masks individually in store, they are super expensive and you can get these in two days with Prime!
My next sheet mask? I am super curious about these eye and cheek lift masks! I’ve been talking about sheet masks for quite a while so I’m a huge fan of them. I also love giving them to my friends.
This one gets an MVP because it does everything! Face, injuries, anything, just stick it in the freezer and you’re all set. It feels INCREDIBLE in the summer! Personally I am a jade roller but when I’m super hot I like this ice roller. I know that Krista over at Cover Bases is obsessed with this roller as well.
You’ve been probably reading a lot about these! I am a HUGE believer in Jade rolling. Jade is supposed to have healing properties, as it gets rid of toxins, heals stressed organs, revitalizes the qi in the body, and slows down prematurely aging skin cells. This not only also helps eliminate puffiness and redness but it does an amazing job of making sure your skin gets the nutrients it needs like Vitamin C deep into the skin! I’ve purchased this one for myself and so many of my friends!
Hair Care
If you have curly hair, use this diffuser attachment, I beg you. It has completely helped me re-shape my hair and also deal with the humidity of Florida. The dryer collapses and fits perfectly into my carry-on and I can’t take a trip without it. It also fits all those weird hotel blow dryers so I don’t always have to take my own. I prefer to, but sometimes I just don’t have room.
This helps reduce frizz for curly hair, so I assume that it would work just as well for straight hair. DevaCurl does make one of these ($16), but you can also get cheaper ones like this ($12.99) and this ($12.97).
So these are my thoughts on Amazon beauty buys. I have yet to have an issue with anything I purchase, but do a lot of research beforehand. If you have the time, you can browse your own favorite beauty site and compare prices between the two. That’s what opened my eyes up about Amazon beauty and how much money I would save. So, tell me, what are you favorite beauty purchases? What else could I been saving on?!
I’m sure I’ll have more to update but for now, these are my favorites! What am I missing out on? What are your favorites?

Always love these types of posts! I always buy eye patches from Amazon – they do the exact same thing as more expensive ones. Definitely need to look around for a cheaper alternative to my high-end no-frizz towel!
