5. When it comes to my closet I know everything. I know where every item is. I know what it is next to. I know where I got it. I know when I got it. I’m obsessive about it.
6. I hate tomatoes on sandwiches, salads, burgers, anything that isn’t Italian and meant to be in a food and masked by other flavors. If I order a sandwich without tomato but it still has tomato on it, I hate to take it off. No problem, right? No. The sandwich NEVER TASTES THE SAME WHEN YOU HAVE TO REARRANGE THE CONTENTS. People argue with me constantly about this but my taste buds and I know you are lying.
7. I loveeee oatmeal creme pies. I had forgotten about them since I was a kid and my grandma had them. This last fall I rediscovered this and now I have to actually ration them and hide them from myself.
8. I’m never going to be a true style blogger because my legs don’t have a four inch gap in my Hunters. I think it’s somehow a subtle shame when you seem someone wearing them and there isn’t a foot gap between the boot lining and twig of a leg. If you are that thin, great, you will probably be a much bigger blogger than I which wouldn’t take that much.
9. I’ve been asked to fish-sit twice and every time the fish have died on me while I was watching them. Please, for the love of everything, don’t ask me to watch your fish for you.
10. I don’t care for pie. I like the filling. I hate the crust. I realized this makes me un-American and thus have tried to love it. I can’t. I’m sorry. I love everything else that is bad for me and sugary though so does that count?
Alice Warren
I feel the same way about my diet coke (which I have given up since Jan). If a restaurant served Pepsi, I always had iced tea. And with pies, I am the total opposite, I only like the crust and not the filling so I generally do not eat them. So fun to learn more about you! Cute outfit too!

Your so right. Straws make everything better! That one is totally one I can identify with!
Elegance and Mommyhood
Loved reading this. The fish-sit comment made me smile and the thigh gap one (me neither) lol. I, unlike you super love tomatoes, especially on sandwiches and salads. You look adorable in that hat btw and I love the jeweled top.

great facts about you and i love your black and grey look, perfect for wintee.

What a fun post! I adore this groutfit (that's a grey outfit, in laymen's terms haha.) And I totally feel ya on the mispronounced name! I generally offer it up after just a few seconds of hesitation.

girl I am with you on so many of these, but mostly #8 — except I think you are a true style blogger! i don't follow a lot of fashion-y blogs, and those that I do, are done by women who have different body types that those that are always in ads. I like seeing clothes and what different outfits look like on someone who looks more like my non-skinny self. I can look at tons of beautifully dressed women who are very thin and think they have amazing style, but it is not something that I would feel comfortable or find flattering. Don't think you're not a "true" style blogger. I'm sure a lot of women are like me and like blogs that aren't just a copy of magazine spreads. And you totally have style! I love how you rock sparkle and plaid.
Franziska
I am 100% on board with the straw thing…but girl, no pie?! I'm not even American, and I love pie.
Kiki Mincks
"Away with you thigh gaps!" Haha, I happen to think they are kind of creepy, and up until they were being talked about, I never ever ever thought "omg it's so cool to be able to drive a bus between your legs." Seriously don't understand the type.
Totally a spice addict myself. (;
kate @ a journey in style
Did you notice that you love oatmeal creme pies but not pies themselves? Just had to be a jerk and point that out π No but seriously, in college people always wanted to go to Applebee's and I would always put up a fight (and often lose) because I didn't want to have Pepsi products. Now I don't care as much since I just order water. $3 for a cup of pop (because you know your waiter isn't on top of it and is only going to bring you that second one well after your food arrives) is extortion. It's also awesome that you know your closet so well.
Rachel Lynne
That's so awesome that you know everything that's in your closet – that's my new goal! And #8 girl – #8. I will never have a thigh gap. I don't think I've EVER had one. I do have to wonder if I were skinnier if I would have more opportunities, more page views, etc. but then I realize I am who I am and that's what I want to share. I have big thighs, I have a backside and hips that don't like to fit into all skirts or dresses and that's just how it is!
Closet Fashionista
Loving this gray outfit!
And this post is so fun!
1. I'm weird and I will drink coke or pepsi :p
6. That's like me and cheese and many other things. Ha ha. I HATE so many foods and if they are in things I get grossed out. (with sandwiches I only have bread and meat, that's how weird I am)
10. I don't like pie because it's mushy! Ha ha. The crust gets all wet and nasty from the inside…barf! But I do eat pecan pie on occasion and sometimes apple if the crust stays crunchy

I too am a straw drinker. I'm not sure why but it helps me drink more water too. Otherwise a water bottle will forever sit full on my desk. As for the name, I totally understand your pain. It actually makes me day when a stranger says my name correctly the first time. And lastly, I think you're an amazing blogger! I honestly don't read a lot of fashion blogs because I find them boring and all the same but I know your voice and personality and I think that makes you a million times better than a popular thigh gap fashion blogger π

I'm dying at #1 and #9 – no, Pepsi is not okay. I asked for Diet Coke for a specific reason. And, is fish sitting a thing?! I had no idea. Love the outfit, as always.

I am totally with you on the tomato thing! They do not belong on sandwiches, burgers, anything with bread or a bun. Yuck!

Answer to your question: I have a stylist I've worked with literally since high school who's based in Raymore (in Missouri). It's like a half-hour drive from my house, but I don't even care because she knows me, knows my hair (haha), etc.

Bahahaha, tomato totally ruins everything forever, even if you remove it, it still leaves a bloody tomatoey ooze on the food! π Could you come and clean my closet pleeeeeaseeeee? I'll give you an oatmeal creme pie π
I'm skinny as hell man, my blog is still far away from a fancy popular one, sigh…

How can you say you love oatmeal cream pies in one bullet and then in the next say you hate pies? That makes no sense! I've never had an oatmeal pie, but perhaps it's like the wheat pie? Every Easter we make four pies, cream, ricotta, rice, and wheat. The first two are my favorites.
I know how you feel about those damn skinny bloggers. They drive me crazy. I know deep down I can never be a successful fashion blogger because I do not look like a model. Somehow it feels both wrong and completely fitting that in my mind the fashion blogger was supposed to be fashion role model the average woman could relate to, but the most glorified ones are the most unattainable.
I also know where everything in my closet is. I completely freak out if I can't find something. If my sister is home I immediately assume she has taken it.

this was so lovely to read! I actually said "me too!" when I read your statement about spicy food. When I went to college, I had a roommate who LOVED everything spicy. She carried a bottle of hot sauce with her everywhere (no joke!). I still can't handle STRONG spice but I do love it on certain foods. =)

I don't like pie crust either actually–I think it's because I really don't like butter all that much (gasp! blasphemy!). So I'm always the annoying kid who scoops out the filling of the pie sitting on the kitchen counter, leaving just crust. #sorrynotsorry
Nikki
I used to love oatmeal creme pies too!! I haven't had one in a million years. In fact, I think I pinned a recipe for one⦠I may need to attempt to make that some time⦠Also I will never have a thigh gap. Ever.

Love this post! And the questions! What's weird about the pepsi/coke thing? Hubby loves Coke, not diet, just Coke. But he'll drink Pepsi if there is no coke! I'm like what? ha Hate Pepsi, love Coke myself. Your outfit rocks, as always!
