Just kidding about how February is all about red for me! As soon as I hit publish on that post I immediately started gravitating towards my second favorite color, cobalt. Cobalt is also known as any excuse I have to carry my favorite Kate Spade bag. Oh and in this specific case, it’s an excuse to pull out almost every item in my closet that I love and have yet to really show on the blog. Ruffles, hats, midi rings, striped heels and a killer jacket? Sold. Literally, all sold to me.
Jacket: Spence (very similar)
Shirt: H&M (almost exact for $25)
Pants: Loft (exact)
Shoes: Zara (similar in black) (blue and white striped)
Hat: Forever 21 (exact)
Rings: Forever 21 (exact for $5.90!)
Earrings: BaubleBar (exact)
This ruffled jacket and tank from H&M have been sitting in my closet since the fall but just haven’t made their way into an outfit yet. How you ask? Apparently even I have limits to just how much ruffle I put into a outfit filled with ruffles. Say that five times fast. Now. Anyway, I had been pairing both of these pieces with other items that were just too frilly. Then, I completely gave up, dramatically threw the pieces on my bed, complained of outfit exhaustion and then looked at them together and instantly got dressed.
If this sounds like a bad made-up story, I can assure you, it’s just bad enough to be an actual story. I can assure you I can make up a good story that would be much better than my dramatic throwing of clothes and a magical outfit appearing.
