I normally don’t gravitate towards pastels as they are kind of the opposite of who I am. I’m rather loud and outgoing and pastels paint this picture as the person being soft and delicate. As if they were forced to walk with a book on their head as a child to make sure they are proper or something weird like that. However, when a baby blue cashmere sweater is given to you, you don’t look that gift horse in the face. You wear that baby soft cashmere sweater and you act like you are the most delicate person around for a while. You won’t fool anyone with your light and airy outfit but you will pretend you are successful and convincing.

I had previously owned one cashmere sweater before but it was the most itchy thing I have ever worn. I now realize that I was completely in the wrong about what real cashmere feels like. It’s soft like baby skin. or maybe I think that because when I wore this I got to hold my baby nephew, which, I might add, he very much approved of and liked it so much he drooled over it a bit. So I literally had a baby and blue on. Baby blues. I’m so clever. Ok, I’m out before say anything more stupid.

LOL…that's funny about your nephew. This is a super cute outfit! I may have to copy you…I have polka dot jeans (darker shade) and a simple sweater that reminds me of yours. Thanks for the inspiration. I could see a lot of people replicating this outfit. And I mean that in a good way, of course! I'll let put a link to your blog if I wear my take on it. After all, you did it first! ๐

The sequin color is so pretty under your sweater. I've never owned anything cashmere, but I would hope it feels like a baby. Otherwise, what's the point?

pfpfhhfh all color sterotypes aside, I think you look absolutely grand in this hush-colored ensemble. Work the airy pastel blue sweater. Work it with a whisper.

very pretty and even prettier on you!

I go back and forth on favorite colors… sometimes I'm super into pastel, others I am all about jewel tones. I think they all have their place and try not to dismiss anything. Plus, when you've got a beautiful cashmere sweater, I think it should just go with everything, regardless of color.
I am also thinking the distressed polka dot jeans are so adorable!

THOSE JEANS!! I own a pair of polka dot jeans but cannot seem to style them as cute as you do!
Also, do you mind me asking how much your cashmere sweater was? I would LOVE to own one but the sweaters I've found at AnnTaylor and other places are $80 and up.
