When I first came to college I thought that I would be bound to unisex t-shirts and have no fun dressing up for any basketball games. Never have I been more wrong. I started out as wearing the baggy and oversize tops to games. I then got really into PINK shirts that had my Jayhawks name stamped all over them. Then I think I hit my stride about midway through junior year. I started realizing that I didn’t have to wear something that said Kansas or had the mascot on it to have school spirit. Instead, Gap and other stores had some of the most perfect pieces that compliment my school spirit without having it glaringly obvious.
Sweater: Gap
Blazer: Gap
Scarf: Gap
Pants: Aeropostale
Shoes: Crown Vintage
I’d be lying if I said I’m not getting super sentimental about going to these games. I am still cherishing the moments but it’s also constantly reminding me that this is my last season as a student at these games. It feels like the universe just decided that everything needs to remind me that I am graduating in just a few short months and then continually remind me and punch me in the gut. I am a sentimental fool. A sentimental fool with school spirit.

I always commend your ability to dress for a sporting event in a way that does not mean having a name plastered across your chest, and just because you will be graduating, doesn't mean you will never be able to go to a game again, does it? (honestly, I know nothing about sporting events).

I went to my first KU basketball game last year!! It was seriously so fun. Tyler bought a shirt for the game, but I didn't want to spend $25 on a shirt I would wear once, so I just wore a red blouse! I totally agree that you just need to be dressed in the team colors, not necessarily a team t-shirt!

Love you in these cheery colors 🙂

Love this! I wish I had figured out that I didn't need my school's official apparel for basketball games. I went to Duke, so I really could have worn any of my many blue tops. Ah well, live and learn!
