If you follow me on my social media accounts, you probably noticed that I hosted an event in Overland Park, Kansas on the 7th. I teamed up with Jennifer of Hello Cheeseburger and Danielle of Fashionista Exchange to host a trunk show. Jennifer and I had met up before and have become, well, according to me, great friends. (In fact, we are working on a super fun project together this weekend.) After I agreed to host the event I had this mental conversation with myself.
“Shoot. What am I am going to wear?”
“Frick. No one is going to show up and everyone will hate me.”
“No way. I am awesome. Just kidding.”
“Seriously. What am I going to wear?”
“Can I skip school to pick out an outfit?”
And I present to you what I did end up wearing.

Tights: Target
Shoes: Jessica Simpson
Necklaces: Hello Cheeseburger (sold out)
I was not able to skip school to pick out an outfit. Instead I had to rush to from school, pick out an outfit, pick up a package and then change in the car. People did show up, I had fun and I think everyone else enjoyed themselves. I am extremely thankful for everyone that did stop by and say hello! I only embarrassed myself a few times, only spilled something once and managed to not fall over. It was a success. Thanks again to all of you Kansas City people who came by and supported me!

Ohhh you chose well! I love the fluted hem (ruffled hem?) on the skirt – I need one of those, and the sweater looks super cozy. The fact that the necklace is sold out just means I'm going to have to steal yours.
Hosting the event must have been so much fun! Getting to be come BFFs with Jessica and collaborate on projects together is pretty darn amazing (so see, there is that jealously again).
