I’m not one that normally dresses up for the Fourth of July. Normally it is miserably hot and humid in Kansas, killing all desire to dress up. However, this amazing year has been incredibly cool and I pulled out this blue polka dot skirt and decided to dress up in my patriotic finest. I feel like our forefathers would approve. If not, too bad. It’s America and I can wear polka dots if I want. So suck it founding fathers. Just kidding, I’m just being sassy. It’s nothing personal.
I am excited for this week. I will be getting a manicure/pedicure on Wednesday, Andrew will be taking the third part of his CPA exam (fingers crossed, he’s done wonderfully so far), taking my brother to a movie and lots of pool visits with my precious nieces and nephews who I will be visiting soon. Oh and of course lots of baking of desserts for our family gatherings. My family is definitely where I got my love of desserts.
