I Partied with Jay Gatsby

And by partied I mean I dressed up, had to wear a strapless bra and went to see a movie about him. Let’s be honest, if it involves a strapless bra, it’s basically partying for me. I don’t wear one of those just for fun. Andrew and I went to see the movie last weekend and let me tell you. It was everything my dears.


Everything. 


I love the book so much, one of my favorites of all time. I’ve seen every movie related to Gatsby and always felt that no movie has ever paid it justice to just how great and lush Mr. Gatsby was. Let me tell you, I could not be more pleased with the movie. I was obsessed. The scenes were like visual cake. I was overwhelmed in every scene with the visuals and music. (We will discuss the Mr. Jay Z brilliance later) I was obsessed. Truly obsessed. Everyone was perfect. The costuming was perfection, the acting was superb. Honestly, if it doesn’t win every award possible I am going to be upset. 


I felt like I was reading the book while watching it. The imagery was exactly as I imagined it to be. At last the book has been given a suitable movie. It was completely worthy of wearing a strapless bra. One of the highest honors a movie could ever win in my life. It was everything I could have ever wanted and even more.
